Job summary

Hillcrest Medical Center in Tulsa, OK is seeking a full-time Physical Therapy Assistant on day shift to join our rehabilitation team.

You will assist the Physical Therapist, document patient progress, participate in staff orientation, and adhere to Oklahoma practice guidelines; required graduation from an accredited PTA program and Oklahoma PTA license; BLS within 14 days.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program.
• Oklahoma PTA License.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Physical Therapist in providing Physical Therapy services to patients of all ages.
• Communicate and document results of treatment including progress toward goals.
• Participate in orientation of new staff and health personnel, and participate in teaching activities.
• Work within practice guidelines as defined by the Oklahoma state law.

• Hillcrest Medical Center is a 656-bed hospital that includes The Alexander Burn Center, The Peggy V. Helmerich Women's Health Center, Kaiser Rehabilitation Center, the latest technology for the treatment of cancer, and the Oklahoma Heart Institute.

• Responsible for assisting the Physical Therapist in providing Physical Therapy services to patients of all ages who have impairments, functional limitations, disabilities, or changes in physical functions and health status resulting from injury, disease, or other causes.
• Communicate and document results of treatment including patients' progress toward established goals according to department's policies and procedures.
• Participate in orientation of new staff and health personnel, and participate in teaching activities.
• Work within practice guidelines as defined by the Oklahoma state law.
