Job summary

Element Health Services seeks a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant to support rehabilitation goals in community and home settings for clients in Independent and Assisted Living Facilities. You will evaluate and plan care, collaborating with a supportive team to achieve meaningful progress for patients.

Qualified candidates hold an accredited PTA degree, Florida PTA licensure, and BLS certification; outpatient/Medicare Part B experience is preferred, with 1–2 years in the field valued.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program.
• Active PTA license in Florida.
• Current BLS certification.
• Outpatient/Medicare Part B experience preferred.
• 1–2 years of PTA experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Education: develop plans of care for patients.
• Licensure: maintain licensure to practice as PTA in FL.
• Experience: prior PTA experience; SNF familiarity is a plus.
• Professional membership: APTA state/national membership preferred.
• Interpersonal skills: build relationships with patients and staff.
• Therapeutic knowledge: understands PT principles and equipment.
• Safety awareness: know hazards and safety precautions.

Key Responsibilities

• Education: Successfully graduated from an accredited two-year program for physical therapist assistants, recognized by the appropriate accrediting agency

• Licensure: Must be licensed (or eligible for licensure) to practice as a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) in the state of Florida

• Experience: Prior experience as a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) is required; familiarity with skilled nursing facilities is a plus

• Professional Membership: Membership in state and national American Physical Therapy Associations is preferred

• Interpersonal Skills: Strong administrative and public relations skills to build effective relationships with patients and medical staff

• Therapeutic Knowledge: In-depth understanding of physical therapy principles, methods, materials, and equipment

• Safety Awareness: Knowledge of potential hazards during treatment and necessary safety precautions

Qualifications
