Job summary

The Grand at Rome is seeking a full-time Physical Therapy Assistant in Rome, NY. The role supports licensed physical therapists, assists with treatment planning, and helps residents perform therapeutic exercises to improve mobility and function.

Responsibilities

• Measure and record residents' motor function, strength, and muscle performance.
• Assist physical therapists in developing treatment plans.
• Observe residents and write progress reports.
• Evaluate residents' ability to function independently.
• Assist residents with specific exercises.
• Apply techniques such as stretching and massage.
• Help residents use equipment and devices safely.
• Educate residents on proper exercises to improve mobility.
• Maintain resident confidentiality and ensure a clean, safe work environment.
• Adhere to applicable federal, state and local regulations.
• Contribute to team efforts.

FULL-TIME

Pay Ranges : $29-$32

Duties Include:

• Measuring & recording Residents motor function, strength & muscle performance.
• Assists physical therapists in developing treatment plans.
• Observe Residents and write progress reports.
• Evaluate the capability of Residents to function independently.
• Assist Residents in carrying out specific exercises.
• Treat Residents with varieties of techniques, like stretching and massage.
• Help Residents use necessary equipment and devices.
• Educate Residents how to exercise properly to strengthen muscle & improve mobility.
• Maintain Resident confidence by monitoring confidential information processing.
• Maintains safe and clean working environment.
• Complies with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements.
• Contributes to team effort.

Requirements Include:
