Job summary

Charming Lakes Rehabilitation in Lakeland, FL is seeking a Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our rehabilitation team on a PRN basis. The PTA will assist the Physical Therapist and support residents in achieving therapy goals while upholding safety and quality of care.

Qualifications

• Active, unencumbered PTA license in Florida.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a nursing home or skilled nursing facility setting.
• Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.
• Commitment to compassionate, resident-centered care.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Physical Therapist in providing safe, effective, and compliant therapy services.
• Provide treatment and support in accordance with established care plans and professional standards.
• Prioritize resident safety, comfort, dignity, and well-being during all therapy activities.
• Follow facility policies, procedures, safety standards, infection control protocols, and universal precautions.
• Use appropriate safety equipment when lifting, transferring, or moving residents.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe therapy environment.
• Ensure necessary therapy equipment and supplies are available and properly maintained.
• Promptly report hazardous conditions, damaged equipment, or safety concerns to the appropriate supervisor.
• Wear appropriate personal protective equipment when providing services involving potential exposure to blood or bodily fluids.
• Report missing, damaged, or illegible safety labels and Safety Data Sheets (SDS) to the supervisor.
