Job summary

Avir Health Group is seeking a Full-Time In-House Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) in Houston, TX to join our rehabilitation team. The PTA will work under a licensed Physical Therapist to deliver direct patient care, implement treatment plans, and support resident mobility and quality of life.

Applicants with SNF or long-term care experience are preferred. New graduates are encouraged to apply; Net Health familiarity is a plus, with competitive pay and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Active Texas PTA license required.
• In good standing with all licensing boards.
• Experience in SNF or long-term care preferred.
• Familiarity with Net Health documentation system is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Administer prescribed physical therapy treatments.
• Deliver skilled therapy interventions under supervision of PT.
• Assist with implementing and modifying treatment plans.
• Record and monitor patients’ motor function and progress.
• Provide education and support to residents, families, and caregivers.

Join Our Team as a Full-Time In-House Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) – Houston, TX Avir at Golfcrest is excited to offer an excellent opportunity for a Full-Time Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our in-house rehabilitation team in the Houston area. Position Summary

As a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA), you’ll work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist (PT) to provide direct patient care, implement treatment plans, and support rehabilitation goals. Your work will contribute significantly to improving resident mobility, independence, and overall quality of life.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer prescribed physical therapy treatments to promote function, mobility, and pain relief.
• Deliver skilled therapy interventions under the direction of a licensed PT.
• Assist with implementing and modifying treatment plans based on resident progress.
• Record and monitor patients’ motor function, strength, and response to therapy.
• Provide education and support to residents, families, and caregivers.
• Ensure timely and accurate documentation in compliance with company and regulatory guidelines.
• Communicate resident updates and observations to supervising PT.
• Attend required staff meetings and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members.

Qualifications

• Active Texas Physical Therapy Assistant license
• In good standing with all licensing boards and regulatory agencies
• Experience in Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNF) or long-term care preferred
• Familiarity with Net Health documentation system a plus
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
