We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our skilled nursing team. As a PTA, you will assist physical therapists in the evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation of our residents. You will help patients with orthopedic rehabilitation, wound care, and other health conditions, with a focus on promoting independence and self-care.
Assist physical therapists in the evaluation and treatment of patients, including exercises, manual therapy, and educational programs
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with physical therapists
Monitor and report patient progress to physical therapists and other healthcare professionals
Provide residents with physical therapy treatments, including manual therapy, modalities, and exercises
Participate in patient education and discharge planning
Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of patient treatment and progress
Must possess an Associate's degree or a Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy Assistant Studies
Current PTA licensure in the State of Florida
Minimum of 1 years of experience, with a passion for working with seniors and rehabilitation, preferred
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMRs), preferred
