Job summary

Novara Healthcare Services is seeking a full-time Physical Therapy Assistant for The Grand at Rome in Rome, NY. The role supports physical therapists, measures resident motor function, assists with treatment plans, and documents progress.

The ideal candidate is a graduate of an accredited PTA program with NYS PTA licensure; experience is a plus. We offer competitive pay and benefits, with equal opportunity employment.

Responsibilities

• Measuring & recording Residents' motor function, strength & muscle performance.
• Assists physical therapists in developing treatment plans.
• Observe Residents and write progress reports.
• Evaluate the capability of Residents to function independently.
• Assist Residents in carrying out specific exercises.
• Treat Residents with techniques like stretching and massage.
• Help Residents use necessary equipment and devices.
• Educate Residents how to exercise properly to strengthen muscle and improve mobility.
• Maintain Resident confidence by monitoring confidential information processing.
• Maintains a safe and clean working environment.
• Complies with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements.
• Contributes to team effort.

Pay Ranges : $29-$32

Duties Include:

• Measuring & recording Residents motor function, strength & muscle performance.
• Assists physical therapists in developing treatment plans.
• Observe Residents and write progress reports.
• Evaluate the capability of Residents to function independently.
• Assist Residents in carrying out specific exercises.
• Treat Residents with varieties of techniques, like stretching and massage.
• Help Residents use necessary equipment and devices.
