Job summary

The Grand Rehabilitation & Nursing at Pawling is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our expanding Rehabilitation Team. This full-time role offers $30.00–$35.00 per hour with full benefits and opportunities for growth.

Under new leadership, we focus on excellence, resident success, and employee development within a supportive, collaborative rehab department. You’ll work closely with Physical Therapists to help residents regain their independence and mobility.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) Program.
• Current New York State PTA License.
• Skilled Nursing Facility or Rehabilitation experience preferred, but not required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Passion for resident care and rehabilitation.

Responsibilities

• Assist Physical Therapists in implementing individualized treatment plans
• Measure and record resident strength, mobility, motor function, and overall progress
• Guide residents through therapeutic exercises and rehabilitation activities
• Assist residents in safely using mobility equipment and assistive devices
• Provide therapeutic treatments including stretching, range-of-motion exercises, and other prescribed interventions
• Monitor resident response to treatment and communicate progress to the Physical Therapist
• Document treatment sessions and resident outcomes accurately and timely
• Educate residents on exercises and techniques to improve mobility and independence
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized treatment environment
• Collaborate with nursing, therapy, and interdisciplinary teams to achieve optimal resident outcomes
