Salary Range: $27.00 - $33.00 Hourly

Description

The Center at Tucson is looking to hire PTAs now!

Shift Availability:Full time (30+ hours/week), part time (up to 29 hours/week), or PRN (as needed)

Pay:$27-33/hourly, dependent on experience.

Job Description:Provide physical therapy services under the direction and supervision of a licensed physical therapist in accordance with applicable federal, state and local standards, guidelines, regulations to assure that the highest degree of quality care can be maintained at all times.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Observe patients before, during and after therapy, noting their status and reporting to a physical therapist
  • Assist in developing, implementing and coordinating patient care plans for individual patients in coordination and conjunction with the patients assessment
  • Brief patient of procedures involved in physical therapy and prepare necessary equipment-reassure patient before and during therapy treatment
  • Focus on providing the highest quality treatment for patients that allows for excellent patient outcomes
  • Recommend modifications of changes in the patient’s therapy program based on evaluation of progress
  • Ensure that all therapy notes are informative, descriptive and follow Company’s policy and procedures

Qualifications

Education, licensure, certifications, and experience:

  • Must possess a current and valid fingerprint clearance card (FPCC).
  • Must possess a current and valid PTA license.
  • Must possess a current and valid CPR certification.
  • Must pass a pre-employment background check and drug test.
  • 1 years’ experience in a skilled nursing facility is preferred.

Other Job Requirements:

  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
  • Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
  • Must possess the ability to tactfully work with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public.
  • Must have patience, tact, a cheerful disposition and enthusiasm, as well as the willingness to handle difficult residents.
  • Must be able to relate information concerning a resident’s condition.
  • Must be knowledgeable of HIPAA compliance and requirements, and have the ability to maintain highly confidential information.
  • Must not pose a direct threat to the health and safety of other individuals in the workplace.
