Job summary

Trinity Healthcare Talent Services, LLC is seeking a Travel Physical Therapy Assistant for an acute inpatient rehab assignment at HCA Florida JFK Hospital in Atlantis, FL. The PTA will assist therapists, support patient mobility and participate in rehab interventions for orthopedic, neuro, and cardiac conditions.

Requirements include Florida PTA license and BLS, with at least 1 year of inpatient rehab or SNF experience. Day shift 8:30 AM–5:00 PM; no nights; 13-week contract.

Qualifications

• Active Florida PTA license.
• BLS Certification (AHA required).
• Minimum 1 year recent experience in Inpatient Rehab OR SNF.
• Meditech EMR experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist PTs in implementing treatment plans.
• Provide therapy interventions including therapeutic exercises, gait and mobility training, balance and strength training.
• Treat patients with orthopedic, neurological, and cardiovascular conditions.
• Monitor patient response and report progress to PT.
• Support patient transfers and mobility activities.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care team.

Position Overview

Trinity Healthcare Talent Services is seeking a Travel Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) for an acute inpatient rehab setting at HCA Florida JFK Hospital.

This role involves assisting Physical Therapists in delivering rehabilitation care to patients with orthopedic, neurological, and cardiovascular conditions.

Facility Information

• Location: Atlantis, FL
• Setting: Acute Inpatient Rehab
• Unit Size: 42-bed inpatient rehab unit
• Charting System: Meditech

Key Responsibilities

• Assist PTs in implementing treatment plans
• Provide therapy interventions including:
  • Therapeutic exercises
  • Gait and mobility training
  • Balance and strength training
• Treat patients with:
  • Orthopedic conditions
  • Neurological disorders
  • Cardiovascular conditions
• Monitor patient response and report progress to PT
• Support patient transfers and mobility activities

Required Qualifications

Experience with orthopedic and neuro patients

Compliance Notes

Must have relevant inpatient/rehab experience
Must be flexible with scheduling based on patient volume
Weekend rotation required
