Physical Therapy Assistant (PRN - PTA) - Jackson Healthcare

Description

Provide therapy to patients in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) setting under the supervision of a Physical Therapist, utilizing various therapeutic techniques. Treat patients with respect, dignity, and privacy, motivating them to participate in therapy while adhering to the established treatment plan. Use creative, patient-specific interventions to achieve positive outcomes and progress. Collaborate as part of an interdisciplinary team to assess patient needs, develop plans of care, and implement functional maintenance programs. Accurately document patient progress within designated timeframes, clearly demonstrating the medical necessity of care to justify the treatment plan. Effectively utilize the computer system in accordance with company policies.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program by the American Physical Therapy Association.
  • Valid and current license in the state of employment.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of clinical experience as a licensed PTA.
  • Strong verbal and written communication, and organizational skills.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Valid driver’s license, insured vehicle, and ability to perform job functions with or without accommodations.
  • Basic computer skills, including using files, applications, internet, email, and understanding confidentiality. Experience with Apple iPads and iPods is a plus.
  • New graduates are welcome in some locations.
