Job summary

A rehabilitation services provider is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant in Newport Beach, CA. The role involves providing therapy services under the supervision of a Physical Therapist, maintaining documentation, and ensuring patient safety. Candidates should have an Associate of Arts in Physical Therapy Assistant and relevant state licensure. Qualifications

• CPR Certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide therapy services established by the Physical Therapist in the patient Plan of Care.
• Complete documentation including daily notes and assist the PT to create progress notes.
• Consult with PT regarding changes in treatment or patient condition.
• Complete documentation including daily notes and assist the PT to create progress notes, discharge summaries, or monthly reports as needed.
• Submit billing, payroll, and expense documentation in a timely manner.
• Communicate with patients, families, referring physicians, and other team members.
• Attend continuing education seminars/workshops to stay current with new clinical skills and programs.
• Participate in care planning meetings, rehab meetings, and family training to communicate patient progress as requested by PT, Director of Rehab, or Rehab Resource Consultant.
• Follow organizational and facility policies and procedures to ensure employee and patient safety.
• Ensure equipment is in good working order prior to providing care and report any damaged equipment.
• Maintain a clean environment.
• Attend required meetings, in-services, and functions as designated by the Director of Rehab and/or the Rehab Resource Consultant.
• Coordinate treatment goals with other team members.
• Maintain valid licensure, certification, or equivalent as required by the appropriate state agency.

Physical Therapy Assistant (PRN) at Meraki Rehab Partners. We provide PT, OT, ST, and RT services in post-acute settings and are seeking talented clinicians with a collaborative spirit to join our team.

Location: Newport Beach, CA.

Responsibilities

• Consult with PT regarding changes in treatment or patient condition in a timely manner.

Requirements

Experience

• 1 year Physical Therapy Assistant experience preferred.
• 1-2 years experience in a residential/assisted living or skilled nursing facility preferred.
• Graduates in Physical Therapy Assistant program will be considered.
