Position Summary

We are looking for a PRN PTA (Physical Therapy Assistant).

Responsibilities

• Provide therapy services as established by the Physical Therapist (PT) in the patient's Plan of Care.
• Work under the supervision of a PT, complying with state and federal guidelines.
• Consult with PT regarding treatment or condition changes.
• Complete documentation accurately, including daily notes, progress notes, discharge summaries, or monthly reports.
• Submit billing, payroll, and expense documentation timely.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and team members.
• Attend continuing education to stay current with clinical skills and techniques.
• Participate in care planning, rehab meetings, and family training.
• Follow organizational policies to ensure safety.
• Ensure equipment is in good working order and report damages.
• Maintain a clean environment.
• Attend meetings and in-services as required.
• Coordinate treatment goals with team members.
• Maintain valid licensure and certifications.

Requirements

• Associate of Arts in Physical Therapy Assistant or equivalent.

Licensure/Certification

• Licensure or certification as per state guidelines.
• CPR certification.

Experience

• Preferred: 1 year of PTA experience.
• Experience in residential, assisted living, or skilled nursing facilities is a plus.
• Graduates of PTA programs will be considered.
