Description
Treat patients as directed by the Physical Therapist. Record daily treatment notes and weekly progress notes in accordance with PT Board standards. Assist in maintaining the department and participate in Patient Care and Rehabilitation Conferences as needed. Assist with cleaning and maintenance of the treatment area. Follow physician treatment plans when treating patients. Support the nursing department with training Restorative Aides. Communicate patient progress, issues, and plans with supervisors and healthcare team members. Participate in in-service training programs for staff. Record treatment modifications per policies and procedures. Instruct patients’ families and nursing staff in maintenance programs and caregiver training in preparation for discharge from therapy services. Report equipment issues to ensure maintenance of department tools. Demonstrate the ability to relate positively and effectively with patients, families, staff, and colleagues.
