Job summary

Landmarkamarillo in Amarillo, TX is seeking a compassionate Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) on a PRN basis to support residents' mobility and quality of life under the supervision of a Physical Therapist.

You will administer prescribed treatments, document thoroughly, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team. Texas PTA license required; SNF or long-term care experience preferred, and Net Health documentation experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Active and valid Texas PTA license.
• In good standing with regulatory agencies and licensing boards.
• SNF or long-term care experience preferred.
• Knowledge of physical therapy treatment practices.
• Experience with Net Health Electronic Documentation System preferred.
• Ability to manage patients with varying personalities and needs.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Administer medically prescribed physical therapy treatments to relieve pain, improve or restore function, and promote healing.
• Provide skilled physical therapy services and interventions under the supervision of a Physical Therapist.
• Respond to requests for service by relaying information and referrals to the Physical Therapist.
• Implement and modify patients’ plans of care under PT supervision.
• Measure and record patients’ motor function, strength, and muscle performance.
• Monitor patient response to treatment interventions and modify approaches as clinically appropriate with the interdisciplinary team.
• Provide clinical support and education to patients, family members, and caregivers.
• Ensure documentation is completed thoroughly and timely in compliance with company policies and state/federal requirements.
• Attend required meetings as designated by the Director of Rehab.

We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our in-house team of outstanding professionals on a PRN basis. In this role, you will provide person-centered care to help residents achieve positive outcomes and improve their mobility, strength, and overall quality of life.

Your Impact as a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA)

• Administer medically prescribed physical therapy treatments to relieve pain, improve or restore function, and promote healing

• Provide skilled physical therapy services and interventions in accordance with physician orders under the supervision of a Physical Therapist

• Respond to requests for service by relaying information and referrals to the Physical Therapist
