Temple Health – Temple University Health System in Philadelphia seeks a skilled Physical Therapy Assistant to implement treatment plans under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. The PTA assists with restoring patient function using a holistic approach to achieve maximum functional capability.

All clinical activities are directed by a licensed PT and performed at our Philadelphia facility. The ideal candidate holds an associate PTA degree, is licensed in Pennsylvania, and has BLS

• Graduate of an accredited PTA program with an associate degree.
• Active PA PTA license required for practice.
• BLS certification required at hire.

Responsible for implementing physical therapy treatment plans as directed by the physical therapist. The PTA assists with the restoration of patient functioning utilizing a holistic approach to achieve the patient's maximum functional capabilities. Physical therapy treatments and modalities are provided by the PTA after the patient has been evaluated by the physical therapist. All clinical activities are provided under the direction and supervision of a licensed physical therapist.

Education

Associate's degree Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant Program Required

Experience

2 years' experience in a Physical Therapy setting Preferred

Licenses

PA Physical Therapist Asst Lic Required

Basic Life Support Required
