Job summary

The Fox Chase Cancer Center in Philadelphia is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant to support treatment plans under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist. This pool position covers Weekdays with rotating shifts at 333 Cottman Avenue.

The ideal candidate has an Associate's degree from an accredited PTA program; PA PTA license and BLS. Two years' experience in a physical therapy setting is preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree from an accredited PTA program.
• PA PTA license required; BLS required.
• 2 years' experience in a PT setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Implement treatment plans under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist.
• Assist in restoring patient functioning using holistic care approaches.
• Deliver PT treatments and modalities after patient evaluation by the PT.

Responsible for implementing physical therapy treatment plans as directed by the physical therapist. The PTA assists with the restoration of patient functioning utilizing a holistic approach to achieve the patient's maximum functional capabilities. Physical therapy treatments and modalities are provided by the PTA after the patient has been evaluated by the physical therapist. All clinical activities are provided under the direction and supervision of a licensed physical therapist.

Education

• Associate's degree Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant Program Required

Experience

• 2 years' experience in a Physical Therapy setting Preferred

Licenses

• PA Physical Therapist Asst Lic Required
• Basic Life Support Required
