Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Physical Therapy Assistant, Per Diem - Physical Therapy Dept / Hospital.
In this role, the successful candidate works as part of a team to provide physical therapy services under the direction and supervision of the Physical Therapist. Provides appropriate therapy to promote the improvement of mobility, functional ability, and quality of life.
Job Responsibilities:
Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify, you must have an Associate's Degree in Physical Therapy Assistant (Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE) approved PTA program). Current and valid NYS Physical Therapy Assistant license and registration or limited permit. Current and valid BLS or CPR certification from the American Heart Association - Inpatient facility only. Excellent communication (both oral and written) skills. Basic computer skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
1-2 years in a Hospital (Inpatient) or Orthopedic (Outpatient) Rehabilitation setting.
Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $38.00 - $38.00 Hourly. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
