Job summary

The Springs of Broadway in West Memphis, AR is seeking a Part-Time Physical Therapy Assistant to join our in-house rehab team.

You will administer prescribed PT treatments, assist with plan of care under supervising PT, document progress, and participate in care team meetings. We welcome new grads and offer flexible schedules, competitive compensation, and benefits.

Qualifications

• Arkansas license as Physical Therapy Assistant in good standing.
• Experience in long-term care or SNF preferred.
• Knowledge of PT documentation practices.
• Ability to work with diverse patients.

Responsibilities

• Administer prescribed PT treatments to relieve pain and improve function.
• Provide PT services under supervision of a PT and relay requests.
• Document progress and monitor patient outcomes as part of the plan of treatment.
• Attend required Rehab Director meetings.

Physical Therapy Assistant Responsibilities

• Administering medically prescribed physical therapy treatments to relieve pain, improve or restore function, and promote healing.
• Provides skilled physical therapy services/interventions in accordance with physician orders under the supervision of a Physical Therapist.
• Responds to requests for service by relaying information and referrals to Physical Therapist.
• Implements and modifies the patient's physical therapy plan of treatment with PT supervision.
• Measures & records patient's motor function, strength, and muscle performance.
• Monitors patient response to treatment intervention and modifies treatment approach and directive as clinically appropriate with IDT collaboration.
• Provides clinical support and education to patients, family members, and caregivers.
• Ensures documentation is completed thoroughly and timely and complies with all company and state/federal regulatory requirements.
• Attends required meetings as designated by the Director of Rehab.

Physical Therapy Assistant Skills

• SNF/Long term care experience preferred.
• Current knowledge of treatment practices.
• Knowledge of Net Health Electronic Documentation System preferred.
• Ability to manage patients with different types of personalities.

Physical Therapy Assistant Requirements

• Active/Valid Arkansas license as Physical Therapy Assistant.
• In good standing with all regulatory agencies and licensing boards.
