Job summary

Hireology in San Antonio, TX is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our in-house rehab team on a part-time basis. You will administer prescribed PT treatments and assist under the supervision of a Physical Therapist to support residents’ mobility and quality of life.

The role requires an active Texas PTA license, good standing with regulatory boards, and strong communication within an interdisciplinary team. New graduates are welcome and flexibility in schedule is offered.

Qualifications

• Active Texas PTA license in good standing.
• Experience in SNF or long-term care preferred.
• Knowledge of PT treatment practices and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Administer prescribed PT treatments to improve mobility and function.
• Provide PT services under supervision of a Physical Therapist.
• Document plans and patient responses accurately and timely.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team and attend required meetings.

Join Our Team as aPhysical Therapy Assistant (PTA)

We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our in-house team of outstanding professionals on a Part-Timebasis. In this role, you will provide person-centered care to help residents achieve positive outcomes and improve their mobility, strength, and overall quality of life.

Your Impact as a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA)

• Administer medically prescribed physical therapy treatments to relieve pain, improve or restore function, and promote healing

• Provide skilled physical therapy services and interventions in accordance with physician orders under the supervision of a Physical Therapist

• Respond to requests for service by relaying information and referrals to the Physical Therapist

• Implement and modify patients’ physical therapy plans of care under PT supervision

• Measure and record patients’ motor function, strength, and muscle performance

• Monitor patient response to treatment interventions and modify approaches as clinically appropriate in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team

• Provide clinical support and education to patients, family members, and caregivers

• Ensure documentation is completed thoroughly and timely in compliance with company policies and state/federal regulatory requirements

• Attend required meetings as designated by the Director of Rehab

What Makes You a Great Fit

• Active and valid Texas Physical Therapy Assistant license

• In good standing with all regulatory agencies and licensing boards

• Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) or long-term care experience preferred

• Current knowledge of physical therapy treatment practices

• Experience with Net Health Electronic Documentation System preferred

• Ability to manage patients with varying personalities and needs

• Strong communication and teamwork skills
