Concordia Visiting Nurses is a Medicare-certified, state-licensed, Medicaid-approved home health agency operating in nine Western Pennsylvania counties. We are seeking a Full-time Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to serve patients in the Mt. Lebanon and Castle Shannon area.

Position Summary

The Certified Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) provides physical therapy treatments under the supervision of a Licensed Physical Therapist (LPT) to patients in their homes, as prescribed by physicians.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited PTA program approved by the American Physical Therapy Association.
• Certified as a PTA with an indirect license in Pennsylvania.
• Minimum of 2,000 hours of physical therapy-related acts signed off by a supervising LPT.
• At least three of the previous five years working in therapy, with notarization of application and resume.
• Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and appropriate insurance coverage.

Responsibilities

• Make home visits according to the physician’s plan of care.
• Implement therapy programs to prevent disability, relieve pain, and restore function.
• Assist in patient education and discharge planning.
• Complete documentation on the day of each visit, reviewed by the LPT for compliance.
