Job summary

Memorial Physician Practices is seeking a Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant (LPTA) to provide PRN care on varied shifts in Michigan. You will support Physical Therapists, assist in patient evaluation, perform treatments, and educate both patients and staff.

We are looking for a Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant (LPTA) to provide PRN care on varied shifts.

How you’ll contribute
  • Supports Physical Therapist in assessing the condition of patients, planning and following treatment programs, preparing treatment schedules, and keeping accurate electronic documentation of progress and goals.
  • Assists and administers therapeutic procedures under a Physical Therapist’s supervision.
  • Assists in exercise instruction and demonstration, patient evaluation and testing.
  • Can perform patient treatments in Skilled Nursing Facilities.
  • Provides direct restorative care and delegated therapy tasks including passive and active range of motion, ambulation, activities of daily living training, special positioning, splint application, restorative dining, bladder and bowel management, and retraining in skilled nursing and long-term care settings.
  • Acts as a resource to staff.
  • Provides education, guidance, and direction to staff regarding mobility, use of assistive devices, and lifts.
  • Actively participates in weekly IDT and QAPI meetings.
  • Performs other job duties as assigned.
