Job summary

ATEX Healthcare Home Health is seeking a licensed Physical Therapy Assistant to provide therapeutic services in New Braunfels and surrounding areas under the supervision of a registered physical therapist.

You will evaluate patient progress, implement treatment plans, educate families, maintain records, and collaborate with the care team to ensure safe, effective home-based rehabilitation.

Qualifications

• Must have graduated from an APTA-accredited PTA program.
• Must hold a valid PTA license in Texas.
• Minimum of 1 year of clinical licensed PTA experience.
• Must possess CPR certification and valid driver’s license.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct physical therapy under the supervision of a licensed PT per plan of care.
• Treat patients to relieve pain and restore function.
• Guide patients through active and passive exercises, gait training, and transfers.
• Maintain clinical records and report changes to the PT.
• Coordinate care with other staff and participate in meetings.
• Instruct patients and caregivers on care needs and use of devices.
