Responsibilities

The Physical Therapist Assistant - Journey Traveler must be able to travel nationwide for 13-week assignments. This position provides flexibility to travel the country and work in various settings. On assignment, the Physical Therapist Assistant provides physical therapy treatments to patients to facilitate increased independence and functioning under the supervision of a Licensed Physical Therapist.

Responsibilities include attending and contributing to patient care, staffing conferences, and other required meetings as a representative of physical therapy, under the direction of the physical therapist. The role involves delivering rehab services, adhering to established care plans, documenting services timely, collaborating with the rehabilitation team, assisting the Physical Therapist during tests and procedures, instructing patients and caregivers, maintaining documentation, and ensuring equipment maintenance.

The Physical Therapist Assistant will also implement individualized treatment plans, providing therapies such as therapeutic exercises, functional training, manual therapy, airway techniques, and modalities, as well as organizing treatment groups and performing related duties as required.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant Program certified by the American Physical Therapy Association.
  • Licensed and/or eligible for licensure as required by the state of practice.
  • Must be available to travel and temporarily reside in various locations across the country.

Posted Salary Range

USD $45.00 - USD $50.00 /Hr.
