Job description

Job Title : Physical Therapy Assistant - in Teaneck, NJ

Shift : Monday-Friday, or a modified shift Sunday - Thursday, Tuesday - Saturday. (Flexible, days)

Job Description :

The purpose of this position is to provide support to the Physical Therapist and Rehab Department in conducting therapy treatments to improve patients' mobility and physical health.

Responsibilities :

  • Treat patients according to the treatment plan of care developed by and under the supervision of the Licensed Physical Therapist.
  • Communicate with the Physical Therapist, the patient, and / or family and facility staff any pertinent information concerning patient progress, problems, and plans.
  • Participate in Patient Plan of Care Meetings and Interdisciplinary Team Meetings if asked by the Physical Therapist.
  • Participate in the in-service training program for other staff in the facility.
  • Record treatment notes, and progress notes, provide objective input for discharge summaries, and complete daily billing of services per policy and procedure.
  • Participate in discharge planning under the supervision of the Physical Therapist.
  • Recommend any needed equipment to the Physical Therapist which would facilitate improved delivery of clinical services.
  • Periodically work beyond usual working hours as needed for facility emergencies, weekends, and holidays.

Required Qualifications :

Associate's Degree in Physical Therapy Assistant

New Jersey License
