Responsibilities

• Observe patients during treatments and report progress to the physical therapist.
• Fit patients for braces, prostheses, or supportive devices as needed at the site.
• Instruct patients and families in appropriate exercises and equipment use.
• Confer with physical therapy staff to discuss and evaluate patient information for planning, modifying, or coordinating treatment.
• Document treatments and notes as needed.
