Job summary

Ability Care Services is hiring a Home Health Physical Therapist Assistant to assess patients and perform home health visits under the supervising PT. You will document services and progress, perform therapeutic procedures, and report progress to caregivers and physicians as needed.

Requirements include a FL-approved PTA associate degree, current FL PTA license, reliable transportation, and a Level II background check prior to start. Per diem/contract positions available across service areas.

Qualifications

• Must have completed a FL-approved PTA associate’s degree program from an industry-accredited institution.
• Current FL State PTA license is required.
• Must have reliable transportation and proof of auto insurance.
• Must successfully complete a Level II background check prior to offer and initiation of training.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients’ condition and perform home health visits following the plan of care developed by the supervising RPT.
• Document patient care services and progress/decline in electronic system.
• Perform therapeutic procedures through manual exercises, gait training, and mobility aids.
• Report patient progress to patients, caregivers, physicians, and agency office as needed.
