Prisma Health in the Upstate region is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant to provide treatment under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist in home health. You will collaborate with the care team to implement the patient’s plan of care and educate patients and families while documenting treatments and progress.
The role requires an Associate’s degree from an APTA-accredited PTA program, SC PTA licensure, and a SC driver’s license (within 90 days).

Provides physical therapy treatment under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist according to the principles and practices of Physical Therapy. Collaborates with team members in the implementation of the patient’s individualized plan of care. Provides patient/family education, completes documentation of patient treatments, charges and other information as needed. Added responsibilities for program and staff development is required. Advanced level of clinical and interpersonal skills are required.
Implements and manages a specific and comprehensive treatment plan and participates in patient discharge planning: 50%
Actively participates in patient and family education process. 15%
Complies with departmental policies for documentation. 15%
