Job summary

SGMC Health at Lanier Campus in Georgia is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant to provide therapeutic interventions within an interdisciplinary rehab service. You will document care, coordinate plans with physicians, and contribute to program development while upholding the hospital’s standards.

The position requires a GA-licensed PTA, CPR certification, and ability to work in a team-focused, dynamic environment with potential weekend/holiday shifts.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an APTA-approved associate degree program with an active Georgia license.
• Experience working with adult and geriatric populations with physical disabilities is preferred.
• Ability to work well individually, as a team member, and as a team leader.
• Demonstrates adaptability, prioritization, and problem-solving.
• Ability to read and interpret policies and apply critical thinking.
• Strong clinical skills in providing therapeutic interventions.
• Clear communication with diverse patients and families.
• CPR certification is required.
• QI certification recommended for IRF float on-site.

Responsibilities

• Provide therapeutic interventions in an interdisciplinary environment.
• Coordinate patient's plan of care with physicians and other disciplines.
• Document care provided and support program development, quality improvement, and productivity.
