Vitruvian Health in Dalton, GA is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant to assist licensed therapists in treating patients across all ages under supervision. The role requires compassionate care, accurate documentation, and adherence to clinical protocols.

You will contribute to patient progress, support equipment and exercise programs, communicate effectively with patients and families, and maintain timely administrative tasks with minimal supervision.

Competenze

• Graduate of an accredited PTA program and eligibility for GA licensure.
• Able to perform under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.
• Demonstrates strong communication and documentation skills.
• Comfort with basic computer systems and clinic software.

SUMMARY

Under the direction of a registered Physical Therapist, utilizes Physical Therapy skills to assist in treatment of all referred patients of all age populations, and is responsible for completion of all necessary documentation. Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patient served. Must demonstrate knowledge of the principals of growth and development and assess data reflective of the patient’s current status in relation to their age specific needs.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Graduate of an accredited program for Physical Therapy Assistant.

Licensure: Registered PTA, or eligible for license in the State of Georgia.

Experience: May be a new graduate.

Skills: BLS CPR. Ability to obtain and interpret information in terms of the patients needs/supplies appropriate

for age group of patient served. Good communication and time management skills. Needs basic computer skills.

ENVIRONMENTAL AND WORKING CONDITIONS

May work in outpatient department, inpatient department, industrial sites, or other community events. May be required to work a flexible schedule. Exposure to hazardous chemicals and equipment found in a typical therapy setting. Rotates weekend/holiday coverage for Department.

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL EFFORT

Required to display characteristics consistent with registration requirements and ethical practice in Physical Therapy. Frequent lifting, bending and reaching required. Substantial amount of walking required. Moderate amount of stress.
