Job summary

Copperas Hollow Nursing is seeking a compassionate Full-Time Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our in-house care team. You will administer prescribed physical therapy treatments to improve residents’ mobility, strength, and quality of life under the supervision of a Physical Therapist.

Qualifications

• Active Texas PTA license in good standing.
• Regulatory compliance with licensing boards.
• SNF or long-term care experience preferred.
• Knowledge of physical therapy treatment practices.
• Experience using Net Health EDS is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Administer prescribed PT treatments to relieve pain and improve function under PT supervision.
• Provide skilled PT services and interventions per physician orders under PT supervision.
• Document progress and communicate with the PT and care team.
• Monitor patient responses and adjust plans of care as needed.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to optimize outcomes.
• Educate patients and families on therapy plans and goals.
• Attend required meetings designated by Rehab Director.

Join Our Team as a Full-Time Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA)

We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our in-house team of outstanding professionals. In this role, you will provide person-centered care to help residents achieve positive outcomes and improve their mobility, strength, and overall quality of life.

Your Impact as a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA)

• Administer medically prescribed physical therapy treatments to relieve pain, improve or restore function, and promote healing
• Provide skilled physical therapy services and interventions in accordance with physician orders under the supervision of a Physical Therapist
• Respond to requests for service by relaying information and referrals to the Physical Therapist
• Implement and modify patients’ physical therapy plans of care under PT supervision
• Measure and record patients’ motor function, strength, and muscle performance
• Monitor patient response to treatment interventions and modify approaches as clinically appropriate in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team
• Provide clinical support and education to patients, family members, and caregivers
• Ensure documentation is completed thoroughly and timely in compliance with company policies and state/federal regulations
• Attend required meetings as designated by the Director of Rehab

What Makes You a Great Fit

• Active and valid Texas Physical Therapy Assistant license
• In good standing with all regulatory agencies and licensing boards
• Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) or long-term care experience preferred
• Current knowledge of physical therapy treatment practices
• Experience with Net Health Electronic Documentation System preferred
• Ability to manage patients with varying personalities and needs
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
