NOTE: This position is assigned to the Rehabilitation Clinic in Greensboro

POSITION SUMMARY

Performs under the direction and supervision of the Manager of Support Operations/Physical Therapist to meet clinic needs.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES - ESSENTIAL

  1. Promotes and has knowledge of and utilizes appropriate patient care protocol relating to the physical, psychosocial, and developmental needs for neonatal, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients.
  2. Competently performs appropriate physical therapy techniques and procedures.
  3. Provides for continuity of patient care through written and verbal communication with other health care professionals.
  4. Makes recommendations for needed patient care equipment prior to patient discharge and assists with acquisition of same as appropriate.
  5. Documents findings, patient progress, and all procedures performed within established time frames.
  6. Submits all patient billing at the end of each day.
  7. Instructs patients/family members in home programs.
  8. Demonstrates effective time management.
  9. Complies with quality improvement standards.
  10. Participates in assigned aspects of affiliated PT/PTA student training.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
  1. Education: Graduation from an approved PTA Program.
  2. Licensure: Active in-state PTA license.
  3. Minimum of 4 years experience in an Outpatient Care Facility.
  4. Current CPR Certification.
  5. Knowledge and skills necessary to provide patient care which is age specific/appropriate for patients served.
  6. Basic computer knowledge.
  7. Appropriate interpersonal skills to enable positive interactions with patients/families, and other health care professionals.
