Job summary

Hireology is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our in-house rehab team in Texas. You will administer prescribed PT treatments, assist with care plans, and work under the supervision of a Physical Therapist to improve residents’ mobility and quality of life.

Ideal candidates hold an active Texas PTA license, have knowledge of PT practices, and are comfortable using Net Health for documentation. SNF experience is preferred, with strong teamwork and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Active and valid Texas PTA license.
• SNF or long-term care experience preferred.
• Knowledge of PT treatment practices and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Administer prescribed physical therapy treatments.
• Provide skilled PT services under PT supervision.
• Respond to service requests with PT guidance.
• Implement and modify care plans under PT direction.
• Measure motor function, strength, and muscle performance.
• Monitor patient responses and adjust approaches with the team.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers.
• Ensure timely, compliant documentation.
• Attend meetings designated by the Director of Rehab.

Join Our Team as a Full-Time Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA)

We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our in-house team of outstanding professionals. In this role, you will provide person-centered care to help residents achieve positive outcomes and improve their mobility, strength, and overall quality of life.

Your Impact as a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA)

• Administer medically prescribed physical therapy treatments to relieve pain, improve or restore function, and promote healing

• Provide skilled physical therapy services and interventions in accordance with physician orders under the supervision of a Physical Therapist

• Respond to requests for service by relaying information and referrals to the Physical Therapist

• Implement and modify patients' physical therapy plans of care under PT supervision

• Measure and record patients' motor function, strength, and muscle performance

• Monitor patient response to treatment interventions and modify approaches as clinically appropriate in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team

• Provide clinical support and education to patients, family members, and caregivers

• Ensure documentation is completed thoroughly and timely in compliance with company policies and state/federal regulations

• Attend required meetings as designated by the Director of Rehab

What Makes You a Great Fit

• Active and valid Texas Physical Therapy Assistant license

• In good standing with all regulatory agencies and licensing boards

• Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) or long-term care experience preferred

• Current knowledge of physical therapy treatment practices

• Experience with Net Health Electronic Documentation System preferred

• Ability to manage patients with varying personalities and needs

• Strong communication and teamwork skills
