Join our team that delivers care with Meraki! We are seeking a per-diem PTA (Physical Therapy Assistant).
- Provides therapy services as established by the Physical Therapist (PT) in the patient Plan of Care.
- Provides therapy services under the supervision of a PT, in compliance with State and Federal guidelines.
- Consults with PT regarding changes in treatment or patient condition in a timely manner.
- Completes documentation including daily notes, progress notes, discharge summaries, or monthly reports as needed.
- Submits billing, payroll, and expense documentation promptly.
- Communicates effectively with patients, families, referring physicians, and team members.
- Attends continuing education seminars to stay updated on clinical skills and techniques.
- Participates in care planning, rehab meetings, and family training to communicate patient progress.
- Follows organizational policies to ensure safety for employees and patients.
- Ensures equipment is in good working order and reports damaged equipment.
- Maintains a clean environment.
- Attends meetings, in-services, and functions as required.
- Coordinates treatment goals with team members.
- Maintains valid licensure, certification, or equivalent as required by the state.
Requirements:
- Associate of Arts in Physical Therapy Assistant or equivalent.
Licensure/Certification:
- Licensure or Certification as required by State guidelines.
- CPR Certification.
Experience:
- 1 year of Physical Therapy Assistant experience preferred.
- Experience in residential, assisted living, or skilled nursing facilities preferred.
- Graduates of Physical Therapy Assistant programs will be considered.
