Job summary

HCA Healthcare is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant to support acute rehab patients in San Antonio. You will deliver individualized therapeutic exercises, monitor progress, and collaborate with the care team to restore mobility and independence.

Candidates should have an Associate of Applied Science in PTA and Texas PTA licensure, with a preference for 1+ year experience in an acute/inpatient setting and BLS certification. This is an on-site role with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Associates degree required in Physical Therapist Assistant from an accredited program.
• Licensed PTA in Texas by the State Board required.
• Prefer 1+ year experience in acute or inpatient rehab.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver therapeutic exercises and functional training to help patients regain independence and mobility.
• Apply PT techniques and modalities to reduce pain and restore function.
• Monitor patient progress and document responses for safe, effective care.
• Educate patients and families on device use and home exercise programs.
• Collaborate with PTs, nurses, and aides to enhance patient experience.
