Job summary

Laurel Park Rehabilitation And Healthcare Center in Elizabeth City, NC is hiring a Part-Time or Full-Time Physical Therapy Assistant to join our rehab team. The PTA will provide comprehensive therapy under PT supervision, assist in patient referrals, and ensure documentation and accuracy of daily progress notes.

Responsibilities include coordinating with the interdisciplinary team, maintaining safety standards, and supporting scheduling and billing as needed.

Qualifications

• BA or AS in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current license/registration to practice in the state (APTA recognized).

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive PT-assisted treatment under supervision per state guidelines.
• Assist PT in identifying appropriate patients and referrals to rehab.
• Document patient participation and progress with PT co-signature.
• Obtain MD orders for treatments, recertifications and discharges.
• Adhere to facility safety policies and confidentiality rules.
• Support rehabilitation team and participate in meetings as needed.
• Cover other therapists’ caseloads during absences and supervise junior staff.
