GENERAL OVERVIEW:

This role involves conducting physical therapy treatment programs under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. The employee must effectively communicate and collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare team members.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide physical therapy interventions based on the plan of care written by a physical therapist, utilizing standard and specialized techniques appropriate for the patient's age and condition.
  • Complete documentation to meet departmental, hospital, and regulatory standards.
  • Participate in departmental initiatives for operational improvement, including mentoring new staff and engaging in committees and educational activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum

  • Associate’s Degree from a recognized two-year college or technical school.
  • State licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant or PT Assistant Indirect Supervision License, or eligibility to obtain one within three months of hire.
  • CPR certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate.
  • Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate.
  • Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate.

Preferred

  • Bachelor’s Degree.
