Job summary

AdventHealth is seeking a qualified Physical Therapy Assistant to join our home health team in Florida. You will implement treatment plans under the supervision of a Physical Therapist, educate patients and families, and help maintain quality care across shifts.

The role requires an Associate degree as PTA, BLS, and a valid driver's license; prior home health or acute care experience is preferred. We offer Day One benefits, a collaborative team, and opportunities for professional growth.

• Basic computer skills (MS Office) required.
• Must read, write and speak conversational English.

Responsibilities

• Maintains open communication with the case manager, primary therapist, and other healthcare professionals to facilitate interdisciplinary continuity of care and appropriate discharge planning.
• Maintains productivity standards and adjusts work hours to meet patient needs.
• Participates in department meetings, education sessions, and performance improvement initiatives to maintain clinical competencies.
• Monitors patient response to treatment and communicates with the Physical Therapist for necessary adjustments.
• Educates patients and families on identified needs and implements treatment plans under supervision.
• Documents interventions and patient progress accurately and timely in accordance with standards.

Job Description:
