Job summary

CalvertHealth is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant to provide direct patient care across acute, sub-acute and outpatient settings, delivering comprehensive rehab services to a diverse patient population.

Credential requirements include degree from an accredited PTA program and an active Maryland PT license; responsibilities include chart documentation, scheduling support, and participation in interdisciplinary rounds.

Qualifications

• Must possess a degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant Program.
• Must possess a current license from the Maryland Board of Physical Therapy.
• Must demonstrate competence to provide physical rehabilitation services by education, training and experience.
• Required to lift and/or move more than 100 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds with modified lifting device.
• Maintains unit-specific and hospital competencies, mandatory learning, and any clinical certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in acute care, sub-acute and/or outpatient settings.

• Define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions that drive an appropriate plan of care.

Job description

• Responsible for providing direct patient care in acute care, sub-acute and/or outpatient settings. Efficiently deliver comprehensive physical therapy services to a diverse population his/her practice setting(s). Completes all required documentation, assists in scheduling and attends interdisciplinary rounds/committee meetings as assigned.
• Education:
• Must possess a degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant Program.
• Registration/Certification/Licensure:
• Must possess a current license from the Maryland Board of Physical Therapy.
• Experience:
• Must demonstrate competence to provide physical rehabilitation services by reason of education, training and experience.
• Other Requirements:
• Maintains unit-specific and hospital competencies, mandatory learning, and any clinical certifications required in accordance with the Staff Education and Training policy GA-057 and/or any other department requirements.
• Required to lift and/or move more than 100 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds with modified lifting device.
