We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Primary Care Physical Therapy Assistant to join our dynamic team. As a valuable member of our healthcare staff, you will play a crucial role in assisting our licensed physical therapists in delivering exceptional care to our homebound patients. This position offers a unique opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of individuals recovering from injuries or illnesses.

PTA role performs visits in homes, ALF's, and ILF's. This is a salary-based position, with the opportunity to receive a monthly bonus. This is a full-time 8-hour position (8:00AM-5:00PM) (Monday-Friday).

What Are We Looking For?

Your Health is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant to join our growing primary care team. Responsibilities include assisting in implementing treatment plans, conducting exercises, educating patients, documenting progress, developing individualized plans, instructing and supporting patients, maintaining a clean environment, communicating with healthcare professionals, and assisting with discharge plans.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program
  • Current licensure or eligibility for licensure as a PTA in the state of practice
  • CPR certification
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Compassion and empathy for patients
  • Physical stamina and dexterity
  • Pelvic Health Experience and/or interest

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience as a PTA
  • Specialized training or certification in areas like orthopedics, pelvic health, neurology, geriatrics
  • Proficiency in EMR systems
  • Bilingual in English and another language spoken by patients in the area
