A leading healthcare system seeks a Staff Physical Therapy Assistant to provide outpatient PT services. Responsibilities include implementing treatment plans, collaborating with healthcare providers, and monitoring patient progress. Ideal candidates will have licensure and the ability to work in diverse clinical settings.
This position is in VA Maryland Healthcare System. The duties and responsibilities are carried out throughout all clinical and patient care areas involved with the service but may also be called upon to help in the physical therapy clinic, the ICU, telemetry unit, medical unit, surgical unit, and/or CLC. Incumbent is a Staff Physical Therapy Assistant who reports directly to the Site Rehabilitation / Physical Therapy Supervisor.

Preferred Experience: The incumbent will primarily provide outpatient PT services at the Loch Raven VAMC, addressing various diagnoses including orthopedics, medical issues, and neurological conditions. The therapist interprets physician orders, assesses patients, formulates and modifies treatment plans, reports progress, maintains materials, and trains staff and volunteers.
