Job summary

Providence St. Peter Hospital in Olympia, WA, is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant to support the Physical Therapist in delivering patient-centered rehabilitation. You will help with treatments, monitor progress, and ensure safety during sessions.

This role also involves coordinating with patients, physicians, nurses, and other care team members to optimize outcomes, operating therapy equipment, and assisting with department projects as directed.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved Physical Therapy Assistant Program.
• Washington Physical Therapy Assistant License required at hire.
• National Provider BLS certification from American Heart Association required at hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy treatment under the direction of a Physical Therapist.
• Communicate with patients, physicians, nurses and other staff regarding patient care.
• Operate physical therapy equipment and assist in department projects as directed.

Job description

This position, at the direction of a Physical Therapist, is responsible for the physical therapy treatment to patients and assisting the physical therapist. The position is also responsible for communication with patients, physicians, nurses and other personnel regarding patient care, for operating physical therapy equipment, and performing assistance in projects and duties within the departments as directed by the Physical Therapist.
