Responsibilities of a PTA :

Physical Therapy Assistants help Physical Therapists in providing care to patients. Under the supervision of a Physical Therapist, they assist with exercise instructions, therapeutic methods such as electrical stimulation, mechanical traction, ultrasound, and gait and balance training. They record the patient's progress and responses to treatment and report the outcomes to the Physical Therapist.

Qualifications of a PTA :

• Associate Degree from an Accredited Physical Therapist Assistant Program
• Licensed in the State of New York / New Jersey
• CPR / BLS certification
