Responsibilities

• Assist patients with improving strength, balance, mobility and ROM.
• Implement treatment plans developed by supervising therapists.
• Assist patients with transfers, gait training and stair negotiation.
• Provide therapeutic exercises to improve endurance and independence in daily activities.
• Educate patients on safe mobility, devices, and fall-prevention strategies.
• Monitor and document progress and changes in functional status.
• Collaborate with the team to support safety, rehabilitation goals and discharge planning.
• Complete daily required documentation.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist patients with improving strength, balance, mobility, lessening pain, and improving ROM.
• Implement treatment plans developed by supervising physical therapists.
• Assist patients with functional mobility, transfers, gait training, and stair negotiation.
• Provide therapeutic exercises and activities to improve endurance, coordination, and independence with daily activities.
• Educate patients on safe mobility techniques, proper use of assistive devices, and fall-prevention strategies.
• Monitor and document patient progress, response to treatment, and changes in functional status.
• Collaborate with the other team members to support patient safety, rehabilitation goals, and discharge planning to provide comprehensive care
• Complete daily required documentation

Education and Qualifications

• Valid Pennsylvania state license
• Associate degree in occupational therapy assistant program
