We are seeking a highly skilled FT Days Physical Therapy Assistant to join our rehabilitation team at St. Mary's Regional Medical Center! St. Mary’s is a 229-bed, acute care hospital located in Enid, OK. It has served northwest Oklahoma for over 100 years, with a team of more than 125 physicians across various specialties including Cardiology, Neurology, Orthopedics, Emergency Medicine, and more.

Position Summary

Implements Physical Therapy services/treatments for patients under the supervision of PT to restore function and prevent disability following injury, disease, or disability. Assists patients in reaching their maximum performance and level of functioning, while maintaining proper documentation.

Job Duties/Responsibilities

• Demonstrates knowledge and skill with diagnostic groups such as orthopedic, arthritis, neurological conditions including CVA, TBI, degenerative neurological diseases, SCI, and medical/surgical conditions like DM, ESRD, amputation, COPD, CHF, and CABG, under supervision.
• Knowledge of IRF-PAI and Care Tool applications in CMS payment systems.
• Understanding of normal growth and development, behaviors, needs, comfort, and appropriate treatment for adult and geriatric patients.
• Implements patient care considering interdisciplinary team and individual plan of care, ensuring high-quality performance.

Qualifications

• Associate degree from APTA accredited school required.
• Eligible for or holds current Oklahoma PTA licensure required.
• BLS certification required.
• First Aid certification preferred.
• Previous inpatient rehab or acute PTA experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills required.
