Job summary

Aspire Senior Living Carthage is hiring a compassionate Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our rehabilitation team on a per diem basis. You will support the Physical Therapist by implementing plans to improve mobility, strength, and coordination for residents in a long-term care setting.

Ideal candidates hold Missouri PTA licensure or eligibility, have strong communication skills, and can work well within an interdisciplinary team while maintaining thorough documentation and safety

Qualifications

• Licensed or eligible for licensure as a PTA in Missouri.
• Experience in long-term care or rehabilitation settings preferred.
• CPR/AED certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Implement treatment plans designed by the Physical Therapist to improve mobility, strength, and coordination.
• Provide therapeutic exercises and gait training based on resident needs.
• Monitor and document progress, reporting changes to the Physical Therapist.
• Educate residents and families on exercises and safety techniques.
• Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with standards.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team for resident care.

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant to join our rehabilitation team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement treatment plans designed by the Physical Therapist to improve mobility, strength, and coordination.
• Provide therapeutic exercises, gait training, and other activities based on resident needs.
• Monitor and document progress, reporting any changes to the Physical Therapist.
• Educate residents, families, and caregivers on exercises and safety techniques.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with facility and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive resident care.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)program.
• Current Missouri state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a PTA.
• Previous experience in a long-term care or rehabilitation setting preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Certification in CPR/AED
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
