Providence Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital in Santa Rosa, CA is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant for its Physical Therapy Unit. This full-time, day-shift role provides direct patient care under a supervising physical therapist, with emphasis on team communication and documentation.

Qualifications include graduation from a CAPTE-approved program or equivalent, California PTA license, and BLS certification. One year of rehab experience is preferred.

Description

Physical Therapy Assistant in Physical Therapy Unit at Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital. This position is Full time and will work 8-hour Day Shifts.

The staff Physical Therapist Assistant works under the supervision of a registered physical therapist. The Physical Therapy Assistant is responsible for direct patient care, family /caregiver training, documentation, and team communication for all assigned patients. In addition, the Physical Therapy Assistant performs departmental supportive tasks as assigned.

Required qualifications:

• Coursework/Training: Graduate from a 2-year college-level program approved by the American Physical Therapy Association, or, if initially licensed after 2010: Graduate of a CAPTE Program (Commission on Accredited Physical Therapy Education) per Medicare Requirements Ref. 42CFR484.4.
• California Physical Therapy Assistant License upon hire
• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire

Preferred qualifications:

• 1 year experience in rehabilitation.

The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.

Pay Range: $39.82 - $53.14
