Job summary

Providence Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital is hiring a Physical Therapy Assistant to join the Physical Therapy Unit in Santa Rosa, CA. This full-time role features 8-hour Day Shifts and involves direct patient care, patient/family education, documentation, and coordination with the care team under a licensed physical therapist.

The ideal candidate will hold a PTA credential from a CAPTE-approved program, California PTA license, and CPR/BLS certification; hospital experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a 2-year college-level PTA program approved by the American Physical Therapy Association, or graduate of a CAPTE program per Medicare requirements.
• California PTA license required on hire
• BLS (American Heart Association) certification on hire

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist.
• Educate patients and families/caregivers; document care and communicate with the care team.

The staff Physical Therapist Assistant works under the supervision of a registered physical therapist. The Physical Therapy Assistant is responsible for direct patient care, family/caregiver training, documentation, and team communication for all assigned patients. In addition, the Physical Therapist Assistant performs departmental supportive tasks as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Coursework/Training: Graduate from a 2-year college-level program approved by the American Physical Therapy Association, or, if initially licensed after 2010: Graduate of a CAPTE Program (Commission on Accredited Physical Therapy Education) per Medicare Requirements Ref. 42CFR484.4.
• California Physical Therapy Assistant License upon hire
• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire

• 1 year experience in rehabilitation.

Posted are the minimum and the maximum wage rates on the wage range for this position. The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.

Pay Range: $39.82 - $53.14
