Job summary

Varco Home Health is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) for a PRN role in Amarillo, TX. You will provide one-on-one therapy in patients' homes, helping them improve mobility and independence with a flexible schedule.

Responsibilities include implementing plans under a supervising PT, educating patients, and documentation. Texas PTA license is required and home health experience is preferred; strong communication is essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• PTA license issued by Texas Board of Physical Therapy; active and in good standing.
• Home health experience preferred but not required.
• Strong communication and patient care skills.
• Ability to work independently in a patient home setting.

What You’ll Do:

• Provide physical therapy treatments under the direction of a Physical Therapist
• Assist patients with exercises to improve strength, mobility, and balance
• Monitor patient progress and report changes to the supervising PT
• Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs and safety
• Document visits accurately and in a timely manner
• Support patient goals and functional independence

What We’re Looking For:

• Active Texas PTA license (required)
• Home health experience preferred
• Strong communication and patient care skills
• Ability to work independently in a home setting
• Reliable transportation & valid driver’s license
• Kinnser/WellSky EMR experience (preferred)
