Position Summary:

The Rehabilitation Aide (equivalent to the rehabilitation technician and physical therapy aide positions) assists the Patient Experience Coordinator and clinicians by performing requested administrative and clinical duties. They greet patients upon arrival and work alongside physical therapists and assistants during patient treatment, in compliance with state practice act requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The following is not an exhaustive list; duties may vary based on organizational needs and role evolution.

  1. Prepare patients for physical therapy treatments, assist with supportive devices, and support physical therapists during treatments.
  2. Safeguard, motivate, and assist patients practicing exercises and functional activities under supervision.
  3. Provide routine treatments, such as hot/cold packs, Ultrasounds, Electrical stimulation, etc.
  4. Clean work areas and equipment after treatments.
  5. Wash linens/towels, fold, and maintain linen supplies.
  6. Maintain restrooms and other areas, restocking supplies as needed.
  7. Assist the patient experience coordinator with answering phones, scheduling, and filing.
  8. Help track and order clinic supplies as needed.
Qualifications:
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; internship preferred.
  • Work Experience: Prior clinical aide or rehab tech experience preferred.
  • Knowledge and Skills:
    • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
    • Ability to document accurately and manage tasks efficiently.
    • Attention to detail and good time management.
    • Focus on patient satisfaction and exceeding expectations.
    • Energetic team player with compassion for patients.
    • Ability to complete tasks thoroughly.
    • Basic knowledge of office equipment preferred.
Language Skills:
  • Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
Physical Demands:
  • Visual requirements include near, distance, peripheral, and depth perception.
  • Regularly required to talk and hear.
  • Ability to perform office activities, including sitting, standing, walking, lifting up to 25 pounds, and fine motor tasks.
Work Environment:
  • Indoor office setting.
  • Generally low noise level.

Salaried ranges are based on full-time employment (40 hours). Additional compensation such as incentives and stipends may vary by location and role responsibilities. Base pay is reviewed annually and offered within the current range.

Salary Range:

Minimum: USD $12.41/hr

Maximum: USD $20.00/hr
